CESA 7 ELL Center Translation Request Form

CESA 7 is pleased to offer its school districts in Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan counties, translation and interpretation services for Spanish, Hmong, Russian, and Ukrainian.

Interpretation is defined as the oral translation of speech as it occurs in conversation.  Translation is defined as the written translation of a document from English to the target language, or from the target language to English.  The cost of written translation is higher because of the processes involved which include providing a quote, reading, translating, formatting, checking for accuracy, and delivering.

CESA 7 has translators that are available to translate written documents from English to the target language or from the target language to English.  For Spanish, we have Penny Fleischman and Cristina Fischer. Mrs. Fleischman is not only fluent in Spanish, but she is also a certified ELL/Bilingual teacher, so she has first-hand knowledge of the needs of your students.  Mrs. Fischer is a native speaker of Spanish and has served as both a translator and teaching assistant working with Hispanic children. Our new Hmong interpreter is Blong Vang.  Mr. Vang has worked for the UW Extension of Brown County and various non-profit organizations.  He is a highly respected member of the Hmong community and can translate Hmong, Lao, and Thai.   All of these translators are available for face-to-face and telephone interpretation, as well as translation of documents.

The ELL Center rates for translation are very reasonable for this area and we can accurately and professionally translate your documents including letters to parents, reports, or flyers.  If you have a special project, we can offer a no-cost estimate to you.   

Rates for translation of documents:

Send us your document in a Microsoft Word format using the link at the top of this page and an estimate will be given within a two-week time period.  Prices will vary depending on the number of words and the difficulty of the language. At this time, we are unable to offer reduced rates for this service based on membership.
