Teacher Information Packet Services (TIPS)

What is TIPS?

Teacher Information Packet Series is a set of resources for districts and schools in CESA 7.  TIPS are packets of information centered on a key area of concern for teachers who have English Language Learners (ELLs) in their classrooms and schools.  This packet series is designed to reduce the time burden on teachers, administrators and others who are interested in obtaining current and helpful information for practitioners with specific questions and needs and limited time.  TIPS is an informative resource that was developed for both the individual or a group of educators interested in improving the education of ELL students in their schools and districts.  The seven packets are provided on a monthly basis and are ideal for small study groups and others who are examining best practices for ELL students.  Therefore, TIPS can be used either to inform a teacher's practice or can be used as a set of readings that could guide a professional development effort.
